Yellow Fish Road program - Painting activity in Waterloo

The City of Waterloo delivers Trout Unlimited Canada's Yellow Fish Road program in Waterloo.

Program participants paint yellow fish symbols beside road storm drains and distribute informative brochures to nearby homes in the neighbourhood. This helps to create awareness about stormwater pollution that enters road storm drains and flows directly to streams and ponds, untreated.

This program runs mid-April until October and is geared to youth ages 7 and up. Consider inviting the City of Waterloo to your painting day to deliver a complimentary 30 minute presentation using an interactive stormwater model which demonstrates how pollution enters local waterbodies (geared to ages 7 - 13 and available Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m).

Help teach residents to keep stormwater clean by carrying out a Yellow Fish Road painting activity in your neighbourhood!
