2026 Earth Day Community Cleanup registration



Celebrate Earth Day by removing litter from city parks this April!  The city will support you every step of the way with supplies, guidance and special litter collection.

In 2026, our annual city-wide cleanup takes place beginning April 22 to the end of April.  See the options below of how to get involved:

  • Join our city-led Earth Day Community Clean-up event in Waterloo Park on Sat, April 25 from 10 am to 12pm.
  • Or register your own group litter cleanup by completing the form below.  Review the orientation information on page 2 for group leader responsibilities.

Your group community cleanup information

Provide details about your cleanup date, time, preferred park and specific location within the park.

For groups wishing to cleanup Waterloo Park:  

  • The city is hosting an Earth Day Community Cleanup on the east side of the park (off Young & Albert St entrance) on Sat April 25.
  • Group leaders can select a section on the west side of the park off of Westmount Road park entrance and west of the LRT tracks (e.g. around the ball diamonds).

Personal information requested on this form is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, and will be used by the City of Waterloo to register your organization to be involved in the Earth Day Community Cleanup program.  Questions regarding this collection should be directed to City of Waterloo, Parks, Forestry and Cemetery Services @ 519-886-2310.
