ED Community Cleanup event participant sign-up

The City of Waterloo invites you to attend our community cleanup event in Waterloo Park to celebrate Earth Day!

Day of event information: 

  • Sat April 25, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Park entrance off Young & Albert Street
  • Parking available at the Park Inn lot, directly across from the event greenspace.
  • Meet at the log schoolhouse.

To simplify the sign-in process on the day of the event, each participating adult can complete this online form in advance. Each adult completes their own waiver and photo consent, and include participating children in your care (under age 18).

Need to know information:

  • At the cleanup, city staff will review our safety guidelines with participants to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Participants must wear closed-toe footwear and cloth gloves to participate in the litter cleanup activity.
  • Supplies provided include special red garbage bags, cloth gloves, disposable nitrile gloves. 
  • Moderate physical activity is required, such as bending, lifting and walking on uneven terrain and within natural areas. 
  • Parent or guardian of any under-age-18 participant must supervise children in their care with suitable tasks.

Personal information requested on this form is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, and will be used by the City of Waterloo to confirm your participation in our Partners in Parks program and annual Earth Day Community Cleanup in a park event.  Participant names will be shared with your Neighbourhood Association to use as a "day of event" participant list and to confirm that you have signed the consent forms in advance.
