Lumen 2026 - Food Truck Application
The City of Waterloo is inviting local food truck vendors to submit an expression of interest to participate in Lumen on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 6 to 11 p.m. in uptown Waterloo.
About Lumen
Lumen is an annual, free for all-ages festival that is open to the public and run by the City of Waterloo’s arts and creative industries team, Create Waterloo. For one unforgettable evening, local and international artists transform uptown Waterloo with interactive installations, projections, performances, and creative experiences that attract more than 45,000 visitors from across the region and beyond.
Food trucks at Lumen
For the past five years, food trucks have played an important role in enhancing the festival experience. To provide attendees with a diverse range of food options, we are looking for food trucks that can offer a variety of menu items and dietary options. At this time, only vendors operating from enclosed food service units, such as food trucks or trailers, will be considered. Open-air food vendors and tent-based setups are not being considered at this time.
Selected vendors will be located in one of two festival hubs: the Visitor Information Centre or Waterloo Public Library.
Vendors must have a valid City of Waterloo business licence.
There is no vendor fee to participate in Lumen 2026.
Application deadline
Applications will remain open until July 30, 2026. However, submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and interested vendors are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Additional event details will be emailed to selected vendors in early September 2026.
