Book a fire safety education session

Waterloo Fire Rescue helps keep our community safe through fire prevention and emergency preparedness programs. We offer fire safety programs for schools, families, seniors and businesses.

We’ll do our best to schedule your visit, but availability depends on crew schedules and emergency calls. A member of the fire suppression division will contact you for confirmation.

Step 2 – Choose a program

Station tours

Visit one of our 4 fire stations for a guided tour and safety overview.

fire crews remain on duty and may be called away at any time
participants must be at least 4 years old (junior kindergarten)
tours are limited to 26 people and last up to one hour

Fire truck visits

Invite a fire truck to your school or event for an outdoor demonstration.

fire trucks must park on a surface that supports their weight – confirmed by the attending captain
up to 26 people can view the truck at one time – larger groups must rotate
each session lasts 15 to 20 minutes – multiple groups can be scheduled back to back
