Mini Grant for Neighbours

Through the mini grant for neighbours, City of Waterloo neighbours can apply for up to $300 to support projects that promote neighbourhood connection. Simply submit this online form or email neighbourhoods@waterloo.ca to apply.

Briefly describe your idea for the mini grant (who, what, where, and when).

How much funding are you requesting? (maximum of $300)

Estimate how much you will spend on items in your requested budget. (For example, $50 on craft supplies, $20 on refreshments, $100 on a room booking, etc.)

How will you promote your initiative and encourage other neighbours to be involved? (Such as recruiting volunteers from the neighbourhood, sharing flyers or posters, contacting schools, etc.)

How are you planning to make your event inclusive and welcoming to all neighbours in your area (such as foods to meet dietary needs, accessibility, no cost to participate, or removing other barriers)?

To confirm completion of the project, the neighbourhoods team asks that recipients confirm when funds are spent and submit 1-2 photos of their successful project with permission of those in them. Are you willing and able to submit this information?
