Before you submit a complete Community Planning Permit application, the City of Waterloo requires that applicants have undertaken the pre-submission consultation process.
Submissions should include all materials identified in the pre-submission consultation digitally uploaded and attached to this form.

Applications should include at minimum the following:
Applications will not be reviewed until they are deemed complete by the planner. A complete application includes payment of all applicable fees.

If applicable, the names and full contact information for civil engineers and firms, lighting consultants, planning consultants, landscape architects, arborists and other experts need to appear on the submitted documents and in the cover letter for the project.

Once you hit Submit, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email to the email address you provided, contact the Development Planning Division at devservices@waterloo.ca and notify them.
If you do not Submit and choose to Save the application instead, you must return to submit the application later. Development Planning is not notified of incomplete applications.
