Change your pre-authorized payment plan

Use this form to change the plan type or banking information connected to your pre-authorized payment plan for property taxes or water bills. 

Change requests must be received at least 30 days before your next scheduled payment date.

What you need before you start

Have these details ready to complete the form:

• your property tax or water online account code
• the property's address
• your name and mailing address, and a phone number and email that we can use to reach you
• numbers and information for the bank account you’d like to use for payments
• a photo of a void cheque or a pre-authorized debit form
• the names of all property owners

If a company or corporation owns the property, you'll also need:

• a copy of your Articles of Incorporation or Property Management Agreement

If you're not the property owner, include:

• a letter of authorization from the owner 

Step 1: Add your online account codes

Choose the pre-authorized payment plan you want to update: property tax, water, or both. Use the online account codes found in the top right-hand corner of your property tax and water bills. Do not include any spaces or decimal points between the numbers. 

For example:

In this example, the online account code for the property tax bill is 012345678900000ZSEJL3M and the online account code for the water bill is 1234567L01HQZJ.

Personal information on this form is collected under the authority of Section 11(1) of the Municipal Act, in conjunction with section 28(2) of the Municipal Freedom of Information and the Protection of Privacy Act. This information will be used for the administration of water billing and property tax services.
